A simpler way to diagnose

Understand your car before replacing parts.

CarCodes gives you the same repeatable process used throughout our videos: read the code, understand the system, and test the inexpensive causes before replacing parts.

01

Plug in

Connect an OBD2 scanner beneath the dashboard. It takes less than two minutes.

02

Read the code

Turn a vague warning light into a specific fault such as P0420, P0171, or P0300.

03

Fix smart

Follow our cheapest-cause-first guides and replace only the part the evidence points to.

Will an OBD2 scanner work with my car?+

Generally yes for US-market cars from 1996 onward, EU petrol cars from 2001, and EU diesel cars from 2004. See our compatibility guide for regional details.

Do the cameras and CarPlay products fit any car?+

Yes. The wireless cameras and CarPlay displays are universal and install without cutting factory wiring. Each product page lists exactly what is in the box.

Do I need a subscription?+

Handheld scanners work without one. Bluetooth adapters may use a free or paid app; every product page clearly states what is required.

What if the product does not work for me?+

You have 30 days from delivery to request a return. Contact us and we will guide you through the next step.
